Senate Bill 16 Signed into Law

Governor Jindal signed SB 16, now Act 718, which provides for increased educational requirements for LASERS Board of Trustees. Act 718 will become effective August 31, 2012. Trustees will be required to complete four hours of Actuarial Science, two hours of Laws, Rules, and Regulations, two hours of Fiduciary Duty/Ethics, and eight hours of Investments.
