WeSave-Savings for State Employees

Louisiana public employees are now eligible to receive up to 20 percent in discounts on goods and services from merchants participating in a new program sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Civil Service, according to a news release from WeSave.

WeSave is a nationwide program developed exclusively for state and local government employees. The Louisiana Department of Civil Service, working with WeSave, supports the benefit program that makes it possible for Louisiana’s public employees and their families to save money, the news release said.

Anne Soileau, Civil Service director, said, “We’re happy to be able to express our appreciation to our workers through the WeSave program. Saving money on daily purchases is something that can benefit everyone. By involving businesses throughout the state it also encourages economic growth, which is equally important.”

Active and retired public employees will receive a free membership card inserted in the premier issue of the WeSave Magazine for Louisiana. Public employees are encouraged to watch for their free membership card over the next few weeks and should contact their Human Resources Director if they do not receive the WeSave Magazine or membership card.

There is no cost to the state and no cost to employees. The program is available to all public employees in Louisiana. Louisiana public employees who are interested in becoming WeSave members and businesses that are interested in becoming WeSave merchants can fill out a request to participate on wesave.com or call (866) 987-2833 to talk to a customer service representative.
