House Committee on Retirement approved legislation on Wednesday to modify the LASERS benefit plan to provide an accrual rate of 3.33 percent for certain peace officers employed by the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.
The committee also approved a bill extending the sunset on the requirement to direct 10 percent of commissions to certain Louisiana broker-dealers. HB 456 by Representative Jeff Arnold and HB 671 by Representative Joe Salter will now be considered by the full House.
