iBeam

The latest edition of the iBeam is available now at lasersonline.org.

The iBeam is the fully interactive, online version of The LASERS Beam, our quarterly membership newsletter.

The Winter, 2007 iBeam includes articles on the results of the 2007 LASERS Board of Trustees election; an explanation of the importance of paying down debt from the retirement system's unfunded accrued liability; and information on federal legislation to end offsets that can reduce Social Security benefits for public pension members who are eligible for them.

iBEAM - The LASERS Beam Interactive

The Summer, 2007 edition of The LASERS Beam is available now at lasersonline.org.

The Publications page of the LASERS website contains a full archive of our quarterly membership newsletter dating back to 1996. But you might notice a difference in the current electronic version of The LASERS Beam. The online version now carries a new name to go along with a host of interactive features that will make your reading experience richer than ever.

Your online LASERS Beam is now:

iBEAM - The LASERS Beam Interactive.
On every page of the newsletter, viewable or downloadable as a PDF, you will find links to the information sources for each article.

For example, in the summary of Acts of the 2007 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, the name of each act or resolution is linked to a page on the legislative website containing the final language, as well as the measure's history as it moved through the session.

On page five, the order form to the LASERS Retiree Workshop scheduled for November will take you to the Retiree Workshop page of lasersonline.org where you can register by e-mail if you wish to attend.

And if you would like to correspond with one of your representatives on the LASERS Board of Trustees, simply click the e-mail address underneath each trustee's name in the sidebar on page one.

These are just a few of the interactive features in the Summer, 2007 iBEAM. Try them out and let us know how you like it.
