The LASERS building will be closed on Tuesday, August 28, and Wednesday, August 29 due to Hurricane Isaac. Additional closures may occur as necessary.
We will be sending updated email messages to you as circumstances allow. All scheduled meetings, educational programs, and on-site customer service have been suspended until further notice.
The staff, management, and trustees of LASERS wish to assure our retirees that payment of their monthly retirement benefit is a top priority. Electronic payments will be transmitted to banks by September 1. Retirees should check with their financial institution as to availability. Paper checks will be mailed as close to September 1 as weather conditions and post office closures allow.
We will also be providing information to local news media. Updates will be provided as they become available.
