State ends mailing income tax booklet

The state is trying to save money by discontinuing the mailing of income tax booklets.

“It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to mail the booklets, and with restricted resources, we decided that this was a good area for targeted savings,” said Byron Henderson, spokesman for the state Revenue Department.

The booklets still will be available at public libraries, state Revenue Department offices and on the Internet.
