More than 34-thousand Louisiana taxpayers have filed their 2008 individual state income tax returns using Louisiana File Online since the free tax application became available at the beginning of this year.
Louisiana File Online is a secure, easy-to-use, absolutely free web application from the Louisiana Department of Revenue. It allows taxpayers to file and submit electronic state income tax returns, pay any taxes owed, or set up direct deposit for their expected refunds.
To begin using Louisiana File Online, simply visit the registration page, which asks you to create a user name and password. After you have registered, you have the option to complete your state income tax return, save the return and come back to finish it later, or check on the status of a refund.
