CORRECTION - House Bill 788

The Spring, 2007 edition of the LASERS Beam newsletter contains an error in the summary of bills affecting LASERS members during the 2007 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature.

The original summary of House Bill 788 reads:

House Bill 788 allows 618 persons who entered DROP on or before December 31, 2002, to rescind their DROP participation. The eligible individuals would be permitted to make a one-time, irrevocable decision to return to the status of an active, contributing member of LASERS. The LASERS Board of Trustees opposes HB 788.

This description is incorrect. House Bill 788 affects 618 members of LASERS who completed DROP on or before December 31, 2002.
